LUCKY, LUCKY

When Lucky, a foreign film translator, starts another shift at a bootleg movie theatre performing a live dub to the Australian soap opera; “Heartbreak Hill”, nothing is out of the ordinary.  However, things soon progress into a downward spiral as life imitates art literally, when Bobby, the predatory theatre owner, makes forceful advancements on Lucky, his underage employee. Reality is blurred as her fear, anxiety and panic are personified through the soap opera she is forced to perform under Bobby’s abusive thumb.
